2016 has gone by so fast. I just cannot believe that few days left and we are going to say goodbye to 2016 and greet 2017 with high hopes for yet another great year. Every time a year ends, I always look back to the past 12 months and everything that happened; good or bad, and what it has taught me. I always look back to those people I spent with and those moments I either win or lose. This year, I am happily thinking all the moments and little by little saying goodbye.
This 2016, I will always remember…
VN/Chogath who were not just typical friends but travel buddies. From Tagaytay, Batangas, Pangasinan, to Laguna. Those late night trip and everything in between. All fun because of these people!
My victory group! You girls know how much I love each one of you. You are all God’s extension of love to me. As what I always say to all of you, I am so blessed to witness how God change you all for the better. I am so happy to walk this journey with all of you!
Victory Metro East people, Team Baraq, leaders’ camp roommates, VGmates, Church friends, my leaders! People who stand as my constant reminder of God’s faithfulness. I thank God for being a part of a local community who are not just passionate about honoring God, but also in reaching out to other people – sharing what they know about Christ. I thank these people for accepting me and anyone as they are – truly they love people because of how God sees us and not of how they see people.
T.I.P. Voice family! My college life will never be the same without this organization who helped and mold me to be a photojournalist that I am today. Working in this organization for 4 years is not easy, but it was fun and I am glad to work with passionate and hardworking writers, photographers, illustrators, and layout artists who not just work for the benefits, but also for the betterment of our school. Thank you Vox for all the consideration you gave to me; to us graduating staffers!
Capstone Thesis group mates and other Knowledge Channel game developers! You guys made my thesis journey bearable. It was not really easy working in a collaborative special project, but I thank these people who are really patient mostly when it comes to me being so strict and mataray. Congratulations to us for passing the thesis and finally graduating!!
College friends/my group of friends that has no group name! Thank you for accepting me as your best friend’s girlfriend. Thank you for being the coolest friends since JuPITER days and until now that you are all graduated and are working people. To more kainan and bonding together!
Titas of Manila and Antipolo! When it comes to these two girls, there are no doubts that I will be spending the rest of my life with them. You two are not just my best friends anymore, but also my sisters. Despite our completely different characteristics and personalities, I thank you two for all the happy and annoying moments with you. From a little catch up over dinner, overnight, coffee and pancake bonding, trying out every different and new place, annoying and insulting each other, and even we got busy with our own lives and without communication for weeks or a month – my love for you two will always be the same.
My first ministry above all, my family. We have been through ups and downs and I would not have this family any other way. I am so blessed to have a family who will support me in every way they can whatever I want to pursue; for giving me beyond what just I need, and for being stay grounded and rooted in God’s love. Thank you, family, for believing in me and for your love to your Shobe.
And lastly, to my best friend, food and travel companion, stress absorber, comforter, brother, consultant, stylist, and boyfriend. You are everything rolled into one sushi! What could I say? You are one of the best things that have ever happened to me this year. Meeting you was quite unexpected, but I thank God for giving me the opportunity to live this life knowing that I have someone like you to spend this life with. Sobrang blessing ka ni Lord sa akin. People may not know how everything turned out like this, but who cares? Our story is my favorite one. Thank you for being so loving 24/7; for fetching me anywhere and anytime, for taking care of me whenever I am sick, for being so thoughtful to me and to my family as well, for being so humble and 101% patient. I will always adore your unique way of explaining how much you love me – the programmer’s way. Thank you to your family for their genuine love and kindness – no wonder where you got your kindness from. I am looking forward to more years to spend with you.
To other people which I did not mention or include, such as those people who left, hurt, and wronged me. I still thank you, because of course without all the negative things, I will not be able to enjoy what I have today. Experiencing the moments I have with you gave me lessons that I know made me be a better woman I supposed to be. There are no regrets, only lessons learned.
2016 will never be 2016 without Jesus – my source, purpose, creator, and everything. I thank You for sustaining me throughout the year – for providing whatever I need and ask, blessing me with these awesome people, giving me all the knowledge, grace, patience, love, kindness, EVERYTHING I need. Indeed, You are the greatest. I will not doubt what will happen this coming 2017 because I am secure and confident that Your plans are always for our good. Thank you, Lord, for 2016!
