L.A. Girl Eyeshadow in Nudes Review + Swatches

April 9, 2017 • 10 Comments

Every time I hear L.A. Girl, all I can remember is their famous Pro Conceal High Definition Concealer which I never bought, but when I was on a lookout for a cheap eyeshadow palette last month, I discovered their yet-another-famous product: the Beauty Brick Eyeshadow collection. According to L.A. Girl website, this collection has four shades; Nudes, Smoky, Ultra, and Neon. Since I’m looking for a natural and good-for-everyday-look kind of eyeshadow, I chose the Nudes shades.

To give this product a review, I must say that I love the packaging. From those reviews I have read about this product, it really looks like Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. However, I love how compact and lightweight it is. It has 12 different blush/rose-toned shades from shimmer and matte shades.

Here are the swatches under natural lighting in my room. I just love how pigmented they really are; I fell in love with the rose gold shimmer shades and how it’s easy to blend. These colors are perfect for an everyday look and also for special occasions like my graduation.

After testing it out and observing it, I came up with its pros and cons.

Why should you buy it?

  1. Animal Cruelty-Free (we are not harming any animals, yay!)
  2. A dupe of Urban Decay Naked 3 (see a review here.)
  3. Very cheap with a price of $10.
  4. Very pigmented and buildable.
  5. Compact and lightweight.
  6. The shades are versatile; from an everyday look to a night out look.

Why should you not buy it?

  1. I actually don’t have anything to write here, so go buy and try it! πŸ™‚

With its awesome quality and very affordable price, L.A Girl Beauty Brick eyeshadow in Nudes is perfect for those girls who wants to learn or enhance their skills in eyeshadow gaming. This is also good for those makeup enthusiasts that are looking for a palette for their everyday look.

I’m currently on the hunt for a good eyeshadow palette. I prefer basic colors like this cos it’s easier for a beginner like me. I badly want to learn how to apply eyeshadow makeup and hoping I could start very soon! I have the LA Girl Pro Conceal, it’s actually nice. I seldom use it though. haha!

I only learned applying eyeshadow from those tutorials on YouTube and also from Camie’s everyday makeup look video. I just apply them in circular motion, haha. This palette is so good because of its natural/rose-toned shades. πŸ™‚

Heard good reviews on their famous concealer but I never got one for myself as well. The shades look lovely, very similar with naked 3. <3

My best friend tried the concealer already and she gave it a good review. It looks very similar; the order of the shades in the palette right? Thank you, Rania! πŸ™‚

Hindi ba lahat may shine? I like it when there is more matte in the palette. Hahaha! Tho, after my trip to Korea, bet ko na pala may glitters. Lol! Anyway, glad its cruelty friendly. πŸ™‚

There are only like three shades that are not shimmered. At first, I thought lugi ako because I’m not after the shimmered shades, but when I swatch and tried them all I was surprised that the shimmered shades are so good! Especially the rose gold tone. πŸ™‚

Love the color selection!!! Are they long-wearing? Or do you recommend putting eye primer first? πŸ™‚

They really are! Unfortunately, I’m not using an eye primer. I just dab some bb cream on my eyelids before I do my eye makeup. Long wearing, yes. It stays all day. πŸ™‚

I’m actually on the hunt for a beginner eyeshadow palette and this seems like a good pick! I’m down with 2 choices. This one or Sleek’s divine palette. Haha. I’ll sort through other reviews muna before purchasing my very own. Heard the LA Girl’s Pro Conceal too, so baka itry ko rin.
