I know it has been almost a week now after my birthday and I just remembered that I have not posted anything on my blog about it; feels like it did not matter to me. The truth is I was so happy that day (I finally sang Taylor Swift’s 22!!) I did not plan for anything nor ask my family about a big birthday gift; nothing. I feel like I have everything I needed so there is no need to ask for something from them. Looking back to how I see my birthdays for the past few years, I always want to it to be grand and special. This is my first birthday that I feel content and pretty relaxed.
How did I spend my birthday? With my family! My sister arranged and planned our dinner out. Well, she arranged everything out; seems like it was her birthday, not mine. (Thank you, my sister!) We had Racks Flame Grilled Ribs for dinner and it was my first time to try them so you guys know how I enjoyed the meal there (I still remember the taste and oozing tenderness of the ribs, oooh!)
Meet my family: my mum and pops, sissums and her husband with their baby pig, brotha with her girlfriend, and of course my boyfriend.
We also had Conti’s ever-famous Mango Bravo for desert and Racks also gave me this cute blueberry cheesecake!
Family picture with the cake, lol.
Siblings with the cake also, lol.
And of course, photo with the boyfriend still with the cake, lol.
After we eat, we stroll around the mall then went home. I was not expecting anything from anyone especially to my boyfriend because he told me that he will just give his gift the next day, and besides being with him with my family is already enough (sounds cheesy, eh?) So when I entered my room, I was literally shocked and my jaw dropped from what I have seen. Sucks that I was not able to take a picture of it clearly because I have no plan of posting it here or even on my social media accounts. But I hope these will suffice.
Yes, it was a surprise so I had no idea how he even got here in our house. All thanks to my sister who connived with him for this. Thank you, Ron!
My day has ended pretty well and I could not thank God for more for the gift of family and the happiness, contentment, and peace that He has placed in my heart. Indeed, a happy birthday to me!
Belated happy birthday, Kathreen! And, ang cute nyo ni Ron! Haha <3
Thank you, Pia! Hihi. ❤
