The Happy Life Lately

March 4, 2017 • 23 Comments

I know it’s been ages since the last time I wrote anything for my blog series because let me be completely honest that sometimes I only post for blog series whenever I don’t have anything to write about. Haha, but now I think this is the perfect time to do this once again because there are so many happy and good things that happened to me lately. Thus, a combination of Life Lately and The Happy List!

The Happy Life Lately

Graduation

You guys have no idea how long I have waited and how hard I have worked for this year to come. I’m finally graduating this April 2017!! πŸŽ“Tentative list of graduating students has released a few weeks ago and my heart skipped a beat when I saw my name included in the list. I just cannot wait to finish my internship so that I could start with my final internship and graduation requirements; have my graduation pictures (any ideas for my creative shoot?); and of course shop for my graduation dress and shoes!

Blog collaborations

april_2017-03-02-15-23-15-210

We’re just on the 3rd month of this year and I’m so thankful for the few opportunities that are coming my way; brands and comp8anies that are reaching out to my blog for collaborations. I don’t think that I deserved it, but they chose me anyway. I just can’t believe that I could really earn even just for a little through my blog. Thank you for trusting me and this little blog of mine! In case you don’t know, I wrote for StyleWe and Found blog tour.

Blogger friendsapril_2017-03-02-15-10-14-522

A little bit of confession: one of my frustrations when it comes to blogging is my inferiority complex – thinking that all of these bloggers are already famous, untouchables, out of my reach. That’s why I’ve had a hard time making friends or connections with other bloggers, I always end up silently visiting and reading their blogs. Sounds creepy, right? When I realized that I will never grow from it, I tried to make friends; I followed them on Twitter – I must say a big help because through Twitter I was able to discover more bloggers and build connections with them; and exchange comments on our blog posts. Now I can finally say that I’m enjoying blogging more because of these co-bloggers that show support than tearing each other down.

Jollibee

I’m officially quitting McDonald’s and choosing Jollibee as my number 1 go-to for fast food cravings. Yum burger = y-u-m. ❀

Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale

april_2017-03-02-15-04-05-884

The only otaku side of me, hahaha. I love Sword Art Online so much, I clearly do. When they announced about this movie, I never stopped praying that they will release it here in the Philippines, too. Tadaaah! My prayers got answered and I was able to watch it with Ron. I’m so happy; the movie was just so amazing and I kept on smiling while I’m watching, lol. Kirito and Asuna are now engaged!! ❀

Discovering new music a.k.a Camie Juan’s Spotify playlists

april_2017-03-02-15-12-00-170

Ahhh, the joy of finding good music that is not too mainstream. Lol, but seriously, I’m getting tired of listening to typical music and my ears want something chill and indie. When Camie Juan shared her Spotify playlists, I instantly followed her account and listened to it all day long. I love it especially my new favorite artists such as Craves, St. Lucia, Ben&Ben, CHINAH, and Darius.

Visited my high school once again

april_2017-03-02-15-01-35-172

One of the few requirements we have as a graduating student is to pass our deficiencies. My deficiencies are NSO birth certificate and form 137 from my high school. Last week, I was able to go back to my high school to get my form 137 and I have to say that our school has changed; the buildings have marks that it is getting old and need some repairs. Despite the things I observed, I was happy; the place was just so nostalgic. While I was walking from the entrance gate up to the registrar office, I can’t keep myself from remembering my memories there with my classmates; all my high school memories. Haha, the feeling of getting old and going back to your old school.

Found my NSO birth certificate and SSS E1 form

Two long years have passed and I thought that I lost my NSO birth certificate and my SSS E1 form. All along those years, I thought that I was an extremely irresponsible adult because I lost my government papers. It gave me a lot of stress to think that I have to go to the nearest SSS and NSO office just to report to them that I lost my papers and to ask them to help me retrieve my information. I hate it. It has been two years and just last week when my Papa casually told me that my papers were kept together with other important files. He casually told me that like I was not stressed about it. Can you believe the joy and relief I’m feeling that time? I love my parents so much. πŸ˜…

Tagaytay City

april_2017-03-02-15-17-58-916

Visited Tagaytay City twice this February! The first was when Ron and I celebrated our anniversary (read my blog post about it here), and the second one was when we, together with Ron’s family, stayed over the weekend for the celebration of his cousin’s birthday. I just love going to Tagaytay, aside from the weather, their Bulalo and coffee are my favorites. On our second visit, we stayed over the weekend at a vacation house in Alfonso located in Scottsdale Classic Country Homes. The house is just perfect for family gatherings since it is spacious enough + the amenities. You can check the place here!

Sunflower

april_2017-03-02-15-53-21-810

Who would not love to see fresh and real sunflower?

Jesus

The number 1 to number 10 on this list will not be possible without the last but not the least, Jesus. I’m so grateful that I was able to experience happiness because of the blessings he’s been giving to me and to my family. I being able to graduate will not be possible without the wisdom and knowledge he has given to me; visiting beautiful places will not be possible without the eyes to see the wonders of his creation. I owe to him every good thing that is happening in my life. For the fact, Jesus is the happiest thing that happened in my life. πŸ’›

How about you, what are the things that make you happy recently?

Congratulations with getting closer to graduating, Kathreen! <3 I hope everything goes well for you for the remaining weeks. The easiest creative shots are usually dressing up like your favorite movie/anime/TV show character. πŸ˜€

Congrats in advance on your graduation, Dianne! And again, thanks for including me on your blog roll. πŸ˜‹ Realized we’re almost in the same circle of bloggers! I agree, it’s much easier to keep up on Twitter. Haha. I also noticed how our group is very supportive of each other. I was uncomfortable in the blogging industry before din, thinking that I’m waaay behind compared to all those established bloggers I’ve been reading, but I’m glad I found myself along in this journey.

SAME! SAME! SAME! (Caps lock para intense! Haha) I have a tendency to compare myself to other bloggers out there but I realized that we have our own ways and we are all different <3

I was shocked when I found out that Sword Art Online will be shown here in the Philippines! I haven't seen it yet, but I hope I could watch it soon! Have you seen the list of anime that will be out this year? I'm so excited!!!

I just posted my happy list yesterday; I included Jollibee there too! Hahaha. *cheers*

Oh, (advanced) congratulations on your graduation!

So true!!! Insecurity kills enthusiasm and joy to do things. 😭 Thankful tho that you guys are so supportive with each other. Instead of being insecure and belittle myself, I was encouraged more to keep on blogging.

I know exactly how it feels like, seeing your name listed on the tentative list of graduating students. Congrats Kath! I know it was harder for you since you shifted programs, but you see, everything is starting to pay off. I’m genuinely happy for you! I don’t have a lot of blogger friends. Hmmm. I used to have a lot but that was waaaaay back then. When I came back from a long blogging break, I felt the same way you did. I was shy, I mean, I’m still shy most of the time. (You might not believe cos school required me NOT to be, but really, I’m shy and awkward) Bloggers today look so pro and confident! I got intimidated at first but they’re not. Now I realized I haven’t visited my high school alma mater ever since I graduated. haha!

This is so sweet, Ate Dianne! I’ve gone through so many frustrations and failures throughout my college years and I couldn’t get anymore grateful that finally, I’ll graduate this year!! That’s why I can’t complain what 2017 is bringing to us especially in our government (LOL) because 2017 is being so good and blessing-filled year for me – talking about my graduation and also the growth of my blog and blogger friends. πŸ™‚ Thank you so much, Ate Dianne! <3

Aww, you’re so sweet! Thank you, Ra! ❀ It is my last week in my internship this week & I’m so excited for April already!! As of now, I’m still waiting and hoping that the company where I’m having my internship right now will absorb me & offer me a job. But if not, I will probably look for another advertising agency while doing freelance work. ☺

Yaaay to happy lists. Congrats on your graduation and everything you have achieved so far. It’s going to be a tough world outside the school corners and corridors, but it’s also exciting…quite challenging to be honest. But anyway, I’m wishing you nothing but the best Dianne.

I know I’ve thanked you already for including me in your blog roll, but I wanna thank you again haha. You don’t know how sweet that is for me, knowing that someone actually reads my blog lol. Also, I feel you with the inferiority complex. I always feel like it’s not easy to make friends in this industry because duuuh they already have their own group of friends, but I was wrong hehe.
