When we hear travel, we often think of international travels or can be local, too, but pretty far away from our place. I used to live in Rizal since I was a little kid, but I never had a chance to visit and explore its famous tourist attractions. I do not know, maybe for me “travel” will be better if I could visit far places from Rizal.
But yesterday, I was invited to come along with Ron’s family because it was his Lola’s birthday. We were supposed to go to Tagaytay, but since the travel will be too long for Lola and Lolo; they opted to go to Rizal instead. Not bad; in fact, I was excited. Finally, I will be able to explore Rizal!
Regina Rosarii Institute for Contemplation in Asia (Regina RICA), Marikina-Infanta Hwy, Tanay, Rizal.
Regina RICA is a well-known place that was founded by Sister Mary Epifania F. Brasil and with other Dominican Sisters. The place has grown to be a place of prayer, an ecological sanctuary, and a wellness environment. With a total of 13.5 hectares, I was moved by the stillness and sacredness of the place. I felt like I was not in Rizal anymore. I and Ron decided to stroll around the place to take some pictures and videos. We attempted to go to the top of the hill where the Our Lady of Regina Rosarii located, but it was too hot to walk and we did not bring any umbrella or sunglasses. We did not stay that long, we left the place almost lunch time (I think?)
A few minute drive from Regina RICA. We went there to have late lunch and I love the place! It really is a floating restaurant – we were able to have a clear view of the lake. We spent few hours there and I am already feeling tired because the place is so relaxing – making us feel so sleepy.
My lazy body was asking for us to go home, but my mind wanted to push some more.
Pililla Wind Farm, operated by Alternergy Philippine Holdings Corporation, is a beautiful place not just because it is a tourist attraction, but also because it produces energy that is being transmitted to Meralco’s Malaya-Teresa transmission line.
I have to admit it – the place was just so beautiful. I am in awe. When we arrived there, I cannot help it but smile like crazy.
And yes, I do not know how I will put my emotions into words and sentences hence I provided photos and videos taken from my phone and Olympus camera. I hope these will suffice; sucks that I was not able to maximize my time in those three places to take good photos because I was really enjoying my stay there. (Which led me to a conclusion that I will never be a good travel blogger, lol.)
PS. I am not a travel blogger nor good at video editing; this is the first ever video I have made for my blog! 🙁 Lol, I only used a free video editor and edited it on my phone. So spare me from your judgments, please?
PPS. Did I mention that it was I and Ron’s special day, too, yesterday? Yes, it was our monthly celebration as a couple and the best part of this trip is that I was able to witness the beauty of Rizal together with a beautiful man like him. <3
