Back at it again with yet another art fair and this time it's Hue & Me: Embracing Art in Life! All thanks to ArtisteSpace for making this kind of event happen and of course the talented artists from different kinds of arts.
I have to be honest that despite my heart for visiting art fairs, art galleries, and museums, I have no talent is such kind of arts. I’m a lefty and yet that does not give me the privilege to be a part of the belief that all lefties art gifted with drawing skills and/or typography. That’s why I love going to art fairs; to see and be inspired by different artworks from talented artists.
Hue And Me: Embracing Art In Life, an art fair that celebrates art in all its forms, invites everyone aged five to ninety-five to join painting the town in bright hues on July 8-9, 2017 at SM Aura Premier, Taguig.
I just realized recently that I haven’t posted anything on my blog regarding my graduation, me graduating after so many years of struggling in college, and me being an unemployed for a couple of weeks. However, today is not the time that I will talk about it, but let me do a rundown of what has been happening in my life lately – things that keep me oh so thankful and pretty busy.
It’s my first time to go camping!!! I couldn’t think of any other way to start this blog post, so I’m saying it again, it is my first time to go camping! But just a disclaimer: this trip will not be possible without my sister and her husband who had their prenuptial photoshoot on a remote island, hired me as her makeup artist, and ta-dah! Aside from the privilege, I always want to try camping, hiking or anything that is beyond my comfort zone; I always want to explore and visit places that have historical past, and one of those places that are on my bucket list is the Fortune Island. While Siargao is the “Surfing Capital of the Philippines,” La Union is also known as the “Surfing Capital of the North.” And what’s the best thing to do during summer? Of course, hit the beach! [Read more…]
There’s an ongoing battle inside of me today; a battle against anxiety and fear. I don’t know if it’s just me or there is really a post-graduation and pre-employment anxiety. I’m starting to look for a job this morning and the more I send out my CV to employers (on Jobstreet), the more I feel like I’m not really good enough; I feel like I won’t pass their exams or interviews, I feel like I’m not really prepared for what’s in store for me in the real world.
Every time I hear L.A. Girl, all I can remember is their famous Pro Conceal High Definition Concealer which I never bought, but when I was on a lookout for a cheap eyeshadow palette last month, I discovered their yet-another-famous product: the Beauty Brick Eyeshadow collection. According to L.A. Girl website, this collection has four shades; Nudes, Smoky, Ultra, and Neon. Since I’m looking for a natural and good-for-everyday-look kind of eyeshadow, I chose the Nudes shades. What it feels like to be beautiful? Or how’d we know if someone is beautiful? Was there a standard created so that one girl can check that she’s beautiful? Or was it only based on people’s standards?
Living in this generation, I have known a lot of standards to be able to fit in to the word “beautiful”. You should be fair-skin and flawless; hair must be straight, smooth, and silky; you must be in size 0 or contain body stats of 36-24-36; and you must have the latest iPhone or highlighter makeup. The list goes on. Whatever they see on the screen, whatever they see on their celebrity crushes, they automatically accept it until it became a norm. [Read more…]
Part of our Tagaytay trip last January is our museum tour and I believe that I mentioned in my Tagaytay blog post that I will write a separate post about it, but since so many things have gone in my way, I almost forgot about it and just last week while I was browsing old files on my laptop I remembered that I have few backlogs and one of them is my post about Museo Orlina. I could be very forgetful and I know it has been months, but it’s not actually bad to still post it right?
Creating an itinerary for our Tagaytay trip was fun and I actually assured that we will visit one of the town’s famous museums. When I intentionally looked for famous museums in Tagaytay, Google gave me Museo Orlina. But what is Museo Orlina all about? [Read more…]
